This week I visited Wandsworth Artists open house to see the work of Jennifer Hollingdale and Surjeet Husain. The work included stitched textiles, quilts, hangings, cushions, bags, framed pieces, screen prints and watercolours.
I also visited an exhibition about Blackheath textiles group. These are some pictures of Elaine Hemsley and Lynn Lucas’s work.
Then I visited the Hall place and gardens. It was a Tudor house.
I recently received a birthday present from my friend Anna.
Yesterday I went to The Knitting and Stitching Show in Alexandra Palace. I went with a friend who was visiting from Greece. She visits London every year, particularly for this fair. It was full of beautiful fabrics and yarns, and traditional and modern textiles. It was very nice and full of inspiration.
