Canada (part 2)

I had the chance to go to some fabric shops in Toronto. But I am lucky to visit one nice shop, specialising in quilting fabric called Sew Sisters. The shop was very tidy, clean and all the fabric was arranged by colours. You can easily spend many hours in the shop wondering around the fabrics and looking at books. They also run workshops. It had friendly staff, especially Ariane, the girl who served us. I bought some Canadian themed fabric and my daughter picked out bundles of end of roll fabric. I would recommend visiting this shop.

Canada (part 1)

I have been away to Toronto for a relaxing holiday. It was lovely break with my daughter. One night from our hotel room window I saw the ‘super moon’ – the next day on the news it was reported that when the moon rotates the Earth, it gets closer to the planet every 14 months and during these times, people call it a ‘super moon’. I felt lucky to see it! I also saw the CN Tower, Niagara Falls, many museums and a quilt exhibition, which I will write about in my next blog post.

Knitted blanket

My daughter made this knitted blanket for her daughter. She asked me for help with the edge, which I finished with crochet.
